My spiritual home is Detroit, MI, where I lived for over ten (10) years. Where I studied & taught various systems of Kung Fu under Si-Tai-Jika (Great-Great-Grandmaster) George Calhoun, and Contemporary African Martial Arts & Sciences under Shimat'hi Si-Jo R. Baldwin, as well as others who I have been blessed to learn from on my path.

The primary styles I teach are Ka-Ku-Chi & T'ai-Kaku-Chi . Ka-Ku-Chi is "the Fist of the Four Eternal Energies", but is also known as "the Universal Fist". It is a system based on African principles of the universe and scientific study of combat through various disciplines.
T'ai-Kaku-Chi is a contemporary system of T'ai Chi based on Northern African principles. The founder of these systems is Shimat'hi Si-Jo R. Baldwin, who began his research over a period of Twenty-five years, and who is a Grandmaster, and Top Student, under Si-Tai-Jika George Calhoun, the Great-Great-Grandmaster of our family.

I truly live the dichotomy. I yearn to heal peoples' spirits, minds, bodies, and their connections with the universe, and yet I train intensively honing the ability to destroy a person(s) with as little effort as possible. That is the irony of the martial artist and the martial arts.

I am not religious, but I am a spiritual being. I have studied various religions and philosophies from around the world and have come to see that most haave something positive to bring to the world.


I enjoy learning from as many trains of thought, at the same time seeking to further develop my own I love to discuss ideas with open-minded people, and have positive dialogue with others.
