About Me:

Been out of it for too long. Looking to get back into it. Not sure how, but God willing it'll be soon. It helps balance me.

In short, when I was very young I saw my first Bruce Lee movie, and was fascinated!  I've been hooked ever since.  7 years later I began my training in Tae Kwon Do.  During my journey to Black belt I had the pleasure of experiencing Judo, Iaido and Aikido.  Also during that time I trained in Boxing at the local inner city 'Boys Club' and , as a birthday gift, my father arranged for me to train in Bangkok Thailand for two and a half months in a Muay Thai camp.  The training is so rigorous that the fighters (including myself) had to stay and live at the camp, no exceptions (even for a pharang like me).

During my journey in the martial arts, moving around created a lot of inconsistancy in my training, but I persisted.  Through out all of this, even in my youth, I realized that my goal to being a black belt should not be the basis of my focus, but rather being aware of my experiences, and learning from them during my journey that would allow me to naturally acheive that status.  So, for the record, I am not a certified black belt by any organization sanctioned, or otherwise, at this time.  Although, when I was supposed to test for it, I got an early in into the Marine Corp, and decided to take that opportunity instead.

So, here I go.  Back to basics and training in my backyard (or basement, or someone elses... or maybe some ancient, secluded temple out in the middle of 'nowhere'.... ;)).
